Just in time for the 2018-19 academic year, LionPATH has some new features to improve the user experience. Students can now take advantage of a new calendaring feature, as well as new course and grade notifications. Faculty can benefit from new class roster enhancements.
The LionPATH Development and Maintenance Organization and the LionPATH Governance Committee made these improvements a high priority over the summer months as a result of insights collected from faculty and students.
New features for students
Students are now able to download their class schedule to various calendar apps (Apple/iOS, Android, Google and Microsoft Outlook) on their phone, tablet or computers to help them more easily keep track of their class schedule.
No longer do students need to randomly log in to LionPATH to see if they have been enrolled in a class that is waitlisted. Students will automatically receive email notifications when they have been enrolled. These emails will be sent to their University email account.
This semester will be the first time students will automatically be notified when a final semester grade has been posted or changed. These notifications will also be sent to the student’s University email account.
Enhancements for faculty
Faculty will now see a “Late Dropped” indicator in the Status Note of the class roster at the beginning of the semester. Previously, faculty did not know if a student dropped a class late until the grade roster was available towards the end of a semester.
A formatting issue has been fixed when exporting a class roster to an Excel file. Previously, some student information was exported to an additional line in Excel which made sorting and formatting the data difficult.

LionPATH is the first enterprise system to be implemented by the Enterprise Project Management Office.The second enterprise system, WorkLion, the University’s human resource and payroll system launched in December 2017. The University’s third enterprise system, SIMBA, will replace the current IBIS system and is scheduled to launch in July 2020.
