Penn State researcher shows end-of-life game spurs advance care planning

End-of-life planning can be scary, but encouraging people to think about and make those decisions is the basis of “Hello,” a conversation card game designed for three to six players. Dr. Lauren J. Van Scoy, assistant professor of medicine and humanities in the Penn State College of Medicine, conducted a study to see if playing the game encouraged participants to start making advance care plans.​​
