Women's soccer's Weber named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week

Penn State freshman Mallory Weber (Novi, Mich.) has been named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the week along with Iowa's Hannah Clark, the conference office announced on Monday. Weber scored two goals in two minutes to put the Nittany Lions ahead for good in Sunday's 5-2 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers. Weber earns her third Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor, which leads the conference.

Penn State freshman forward Micayla Catanzariti (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) was named College Hockey America's Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon. Catanzariti lead the Nittany Lions to a win in their inaugural opener on Saturday with two goals and an assist at Vermont.

Penn State women's soccer freshman Raquel Rodriguez (San Jose, Costa Rica) has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Rodriguez scored one of Penn State's two goals in a 2-1 victory over 13th-ranked Wisconsin.
