The Lehigh Valley Writing Project, a National Writing Project site, has announced a number of professional development opportunities for local educators to be offered this summer. All offerings will be held at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus.
The Lehigh Valley Writing Project (LVWP), which is celebrating 25 years as a National Writing Project site in 2014, will host its annual Best Practices in Teaching Writing Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus in Center Valley, Pa.
The Penn State Lehigh Valley Writing Project (LVWP), a National Writing Project site, is accepting applications for its Invitational Summer Institute 2011. The program is a six-credit graduate experience which supports teachers as professionals, researchers and writers.
This year, LVWP will host an informational mixer from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Allentown Brew Works (812 W. Hamilton St.). The mixer is free to educators who want to learn more about the Summer Institute.
United States Representative Charlie Dent visited the Lehigh Valley Writing Project (LVWP) on Monday, July 20, to participate with 20 area teachers in the project's summer institute demonstration about learning math through writing.
