U.S. News & World Report has listed Penn State Harrisburg's School of Public Affairs and part-time M.B.A. program in its 2013 Best Graduate Schools rankings. Penn State Harrisburg was the only central Pennsylvania school ranked in these categories.
An addition to Penn State Harrisburg's MBA program will help accounting professionals meet new certified public accountant (CPA) education requirements that became effective in January 2012. A new track within the program will permit students to simultaneously take course work to earn the M.B.A. and to meet the education requirements to become certified and licensed as a CPA in Pennsylvania.
Jennifer Dutch, an American studies doctoral candidate at Penn State Harrisburg, has received a $5,000 Alumni Association Dissertation Award from Penn State's Graduate School for the spring 2012 semester for her dissertation "Someone's In the Kitchen: The Value of Home Cooking Traditions in the Twenty-First Century."
