April religious and philosophical lecture scheduled at Penn State Schuylkill

The April religious and philosophical forum lecture at Penn State Schuylkill is scheduled for noon Friday, April 25, in the R. Michael Fryer Conference Center at Penn State Schuylkill.

Edward B. Davis, distinguished professor of the history of science, Messiah College, Mechanicsburg, Pa., will present his session on “Why History Matters: Debunking the ‘Warfare’ View of Science and Religion.”

Several organizations have provided financial support for the series, including the Council of Churches of Schuylkill Haven and Vicinity; St. Marks United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven; and the Student Activity Funds of Penn State Schuylkill. The series also receives financial support from individuals, and appreciates any and all contributions to defray expenses.

This is the final session for this spring. Sessions for the 2014-15 academic year will be announced in the fall.
