Students, faculty and staff help to 'Paint the Campus Red'

Many Penn State Beaver students, staff and faculty wore red on Friday, Feb. 7, to “Paint the Campus Red” in honor of the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day, which is designed to educate the public about the dangers and warning signs of heart disease, especially among women.

In addition, faculty and students were invited to a free Food and Fun Pizza Lunch in the Student Union Building Lodge to provide an opportunity for informal discussion. Anyone wearing red was entered into a drawing for a gift card from the campus Barnes & Noble bookstore.

“Paint the Campus Red” was sponsored by the Beaver campus Office of Health Services and coordinated by campus nurse Barb Kugel. She can be contacted about any health issues or questions at or 724-773-3955.
