Guest Artist Recital Series provides performances by professional musicians

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State's School of Music brings professional musicians to Penn State for free recitals and master classes. The Guest Recital Series offers opportunities for Penn State students, faculty and staff, as well as community members to interact with these talented artists, whether listening to a performance or participating in a Q&A.

Upcoming recitals and masterclasses are:

Pianist and music historian Elizabeth Morgan, faculty member at St. Joseph's University, presents a guest lecture recital titled "Professional Women Musicians and Writers in England during Haydn's Time," at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 122 Music Building II

British flautist Paul Edmund-Davies, principal flute with the English National Opera, presents a half-hour recital followed by a masterclass, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, Esber Recital Hall
