Pay for Play fundraiser continues to break records

The seventh annual People’s Pay for Play on WQXA-FM 105.7 The X raised a record-breaking $126,863 for Children’s Miracle Network and the Child Life program at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.

"The People’s Morning Show" personalities Nipsey, Earl David Reed and Jen Shade made the commitment to remain live on the air for the 28-hour marathon broadcast on Nov. 7 and 8. Station 105.7 The X, which plays a format known as Active Rock Radio, allowed listeners to Pay for Play by making donations of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or more. The further the request was from the station’s normal format, the higher the donation to have the song played. Songs of all genres were played for significant donations to Children’s Miracle Network during the broadcast.
