UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Prospective students are invited to attend the Allied Health Open House at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the Bio-Medical building.
The open house is an opportunity for potential students to learn about Penn State’s nursing and physical therapist assistant programs. The bachelor of science in nursing degree will be introduced. Students will get the opportunity to take a tour of classrooms and labs; meet with faculty and current students; and view and participate in physical therapist assistant and nursing demonstrations.
Apryl Kadish, interim director of Enrollment Management at Penn State Fayette, said, “The health care industry is one of the few career fields that, despite hard economic times, is still hiring. People want jobs that lead to employment, so this event is a great opportunity for prospective students to learn about what degrees Penn State Fayette offers in the health care field and talk to current faulty about their programs.”
Prospective students will also have the opportunity to meet with an admissions counselor to complete an application. Students are asked to bring official transcripts in order to receive the $50 application fee waiver.
