Concert bands to perform Oct. 6 at Eisenhower Auditorium

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Symphonic Band and Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in Eisenhower Auditorium. The performance includes masterworks by American composers, as well as notable compositions from the operatic repertoire transcribed for band. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $4 for students, and are available in advance at the Eisenhower Ticket Center (814-863-0255 or 800-ARTS-TIX) or at the door.

The concert will be streamed live at www.ustream.tv/channel/penn-state-school-of-music. The Symphonic Band and Symphonic Wind Ensemble are conducted by Dennis Glocke.
