SPA Lectures Committee seeks applications

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Student Programming Association (SPA) Lectures Committee is currently accepting applications for next year's committee. The committee is responsible for organizing the annual Distinguished Speaker Series and smaller lectures at the University Park campus. Composed entirely of students, the committee is responsible for selecting and hosting speakers as well as putting on and publicizing lectures. The series is completely funded by the Student Activity Fee.  The committee strives each year to achieve a lineup of speakers unique from the last and representing a diverse set of issues. Previous speakers include John Legend, Jane Goodall and Tim Gunn. The application is available at and are due by 5 p.m. Feb. 22, in 223 HUB-Robeson Center.
