University Park, Pa. — Maureen Carr, distinguished professor of music at Penn State, was featured in a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Radio Four program on the sketchbook for Igor Stravinsky's ballet Pulcinella Tuesday (April 22) morning. The program, which will be repeated at 10:30 a.m. EST on Saturday, April 26, can be heard at www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/ via the "Listen Again" link through the week.

The program was recorded at the BBC studios on March 13, 2008. Other commentators include program presenter and mystery writer Frances Fyfield; Barry Wordsworth, conductor of the orchestra for the Royal Ballet; and Nicolas Bell, curator of music manuscripts for the British Library. The Pulcinella sketchbook is featured in Carr's forthcoming book, Stravinsky's Pulcinella (1920): a Facsimile Edition of the Sources and the Sketches, to be published by A-R Editions. In addition to the sketchbook from the British Library, this book will also include facsimiles of manuscripts from the Stravinsky Archive at the Paul Sacher Stiftung in Basel, Switzerland.
