Three architectural engineers tapped to write 'lighting bible'

Two Penn State professors and a Penn State alumnus are among the four lighting professionals chosen to edit the 10th Edition of the Illuminating Engineering Society IES Lighting Handbook.

William Hanley, executive vice president of the IES, announced the "dream team" at the organization?s annual conference in November.

The team of editors includes: Kevin Houser and Richard Mistrick, associate professors of architectural engineering; Gary Steffy, a 1977 Penn State architectural engineering alumnus; and David DiLaura, DLDL Consulting and editor of Leukos, an IES journal.

Often referred to as the "Bible of Lighting," the handbook serves as an important reference for lighting professionals. It is scheduled for publication in 2010.
