Call for applications: Woodward Education Grants

The Woodward Endowment Steering Committee is accepting applications for 2010 education grants. Awards are available on a competitive basis to individuals involved in the Penn State Hershey education mission. Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Jan. 18.

Education Projects and Research Awards: Level I awards provide up to $3,000 for innovative pilot projects in education research or one-time investments to support innovative improvements to a specific aspect of education at the College. Level II awards provide up to $25,000 for innovative educational research or projects that provide an innovative improvement in curriculum.

Woodward Education Scholar Awards: Level I awards (new this year) provide up to $2,000 for travel costs and registration fees for a single conference or training opportunity in health sciences education or education research. Level II awards confer the title “Woodward Education Scholar” and provide up to $10,000 for travel costs for formal training in health sciences education or education research, followed by a formal scholarly project to implement and disseminate the acquired knowledge.
