The Global Penn State portal was launched May 19 to help connect international initiatives across the University and showcase Penn State's global reach.
"One of the central goals of the University Office of Global Programs is to have an easily accessible central repository for all of Penn State's global engagements," said Michael Adewumi, vice provost for Global Programs. "This portal is an important step forward in achieving that goal."
Visitors to the official Penn State website will notice the addition of Global Penn State to the main page. From there, visitors have a number of options, including the Global Portal, where there are two tools. The first is the Penn State Global Reach Portal, a GIS-based interactive Web tool that displays all of our international engagements. The second is a list of Penn State's international programs and activities hyperlinked to their own Web pages.
"Penn State is blessed with tremendous global opportunities but gathering them into one place has been a challenge, " said Christian Brady, dean of the Schreyer Honors College. "It is a great benefit to our faculty and students to have one central gateway for all of these resources."
