Seminar to help students, faculty understand IP and start-ups

The College of Engineering and Penn State Engineering Alumni Society will hold a seminar designed to help students and faculty navigate the world of intellectual property. The College of Engineering Intellectual Property Seminar will be held 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Oct. 25, in ballrooms A and B of the Nittany Lion Inn.

Scheduled panel discussions include how faculty and graduate students can protect their intellectual property rights, how to protect potentially patentable ideas and start-ups and venture capital opportunities. The panels include Penn State engineering alumni who are intellectual property attorneys, investors and shareholders.
