The Woodward Endowment Steering Committee at Penn State College of Medicine is accepting applications for its 2011 education grant awards through 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011. The funding period runs from April 1, 2011, through March 30, 2012.
Innovation in Education Projects and Research Awards are available in $500-$3,000 level I awards and $3,000-$25,000 level II awards. Level I awards support innovative pilot projects in education research or one-time investments to support projects to improve a specific aspect of education resources. Level II awards support innovative educational research or projects that provide an improvement in curriculum supported by quantitative outcomes assessment.
Woodward Education Scholar Awards are awarded up to $2,000 for level I awards and up to $10,000 in level II awards. Level I awards provide reimbursements to support travel costs and registration fees for a single conference or training opportunity in health sciences education or education research. Level II awards provide support costs associated with travel to institutions for formal training in health sciences education or education research.
