Annual traditional American Indian Powwow to be held April 2-3

The 8th annual "The New Faces of an Ancient People" traditional American Indian Powwow will be held April 2 and 3 at Mount Nittany Middle School, located at 656 Brandywine Drive in State College, Pa. Admission is free and open to the public. Events begin at 11 a.m. on both days. Participants are asked to consider donating a new or like-new book, to be donated to the Solen School District on the Standing Rock Sioux Indian Reservation.

On April 2, there will be a dancer grand entry at noon and again at 6:30; the same will happen only at noon on April 3. The event is sponsored by Penn State and the State College Area School District.
