Keith Marmer has joined Penn State College of Medicine as associate dean for research innovations. In this position, Marmer will direct the Office of Technology Development and oversee the identification and development of intellectual property at Penn State Hershey in collaboration with colleagues in the Intellectual Property Office at University Park.
Marmer’s responsibility will be to manage the entrepreneurial efforts of our vibrant biomedical community.
Marmer comes to Penn State Hershey from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, where he served as vice president for business development and technology transfer. A successful entrepreneur, Marmer has founded several companies, received three patents and performed business management and leadership consultation activities.
He received a master’s in business administration from the University of the Sciences and a master’s and doctorate in physical therapy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and the University of the Sciences, respectively.
Marmer’s office is located in the Hershey Center for Applied Research adjacent to the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine campus.
