The Farmers Market in Hershey will launch its second season on Thursday, May 19, in the field between the Cocoa Beanery and the Englewood Barn at 1215 Research Blvd. off Bullfrog Valley Road in Hershey.
Founded by two Penn State College of Medicine faculty members and supported by the Hershey Trust, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, the Hershey Center for Applied Research, and Penn State Hershey Medical Center and the College of Medicine, the market will open every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. through the end of October.
Once again, the market will offer a variety of locally grown fruits and vegetables, locally produced dairy products, meats and baked goods, and many other specialty items, as well as free weekly health screenings, community wellness programming, and live music.
