Media Commons Tailgate event to be held Nov. 5

Faculty and staff are welcome to attend the Media Commons Tailgate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 in Foster Auditorium at Paterno Library on Penn State's University Park campus. This free event is a highly interactive conference focused on exploring the possibilities for using digital media in teaching and learning. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

The theme of this year’s Tailgate is “Envisioning Learning Spaces for Tomorrow’s Students.” Attendees will have an opportunity to creatively explore the role of new media and gaming for use in future classrooms. The day will include student and faculty panels, group brainstorming, and other sessions designed to engage attendees in conversation on a range of issues from the technical to the pedagogical.

Two optional pre-conference workshops will be offered from 1-4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4: “Scholarly Storytelling” and “Level Up: Gamify Your Class.”
