Campus United Way Committee launches fundraising efforts

The Penn State Beaver United Way Committee announced the launch of their fall fundraising efforts on behalf of the United Way of Beaver County. Fundraising programs will include personal solicitations for gifts from faculty, staff and students; a Steelers Dress Down Day and a December Dress Down Day; Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends Day, and the campus Welcome Weekend on Oct. 22. The committee’s largest event is the Blue and White Luncheon and Silent Auction which will be held Friday, Nov. 4 in the Lodge of the Student Union Building.

Last fall the United Way Committee raised $5,002, all of which was donated to the United Way of Beaver County. The group hopes to raise $5,000 this fall as well.
