CMN 'Miracle Ball' to benefit Children's Hospital

Children’s Miracle Network is asking the community to help create miracles for Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital pediatric patients at the 22nd annual Children’s Miracle Network “Thanks for Giving” Miracle Ball on Saturday, Nov. 19, at The Hershey Lodge. Proceeds from the ball will support pediatric services, equipment and research at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

The ball begins at 6 p.m. with a reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, dancing and entertainment provided by Group Du Jour. During the dinner, Miracle Child Sammy Hill from Dauphin County and her family will share how Children’s Miracle Network and Children’s Hospital supported Sammy after she was critically injured when a tree branch fell 70 feet onto her head. Rick Herring, president of GIANT Food Stores, will be presented with the inaugural Miracle Innovator Award for his outstanding leadership and commitment of Children’s Miracle Network.

In addition to the silent auction, guests will have a chance to win a “His and Hers” luxurious getaway, which includes an overnight stay at the five-star Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa in western Pennsylvania, golf clubs and diamond earrings.

The ball’s top $10,000 “Miracle Maker” sponsors are: GIANT Food Stores, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, Highmark Blue Shield, Johnson Controls, The Hershey Company and Kraft Foods.

Tickets for the ball are $175 each or $300 per couple and can be purchased by calling the Children’s Miracle Network office at 717-531-6606 by Oct. 28. Dress is black-tie optional. For more information about the event, visit www.pennstatehershey.org/cmn online.
