Thomas to be awarded honorary degree at later date

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Eric Thomas, vice-chancellor at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom, is unable to attend the May 2012 Penn State commencement ceremony to receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters, as was announced earlier. Instead, he will be awarded the degree at a later date.

Thomas currently heads Universities UK, which strives to be the definitive voice for all universities in the UK that promotes the strength and success of UK universities nationally and internationally. In addition, he chairs the board of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education Europe.
