Guest lecturer to explore America's barns at Penn State Harrisburg

John M. Vlach, professor of American studies and anthropology at George Washington University, will present "Barns Across America," an American studies invited lecture, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, in the Olmsted Building’s Gallery Lounge at Penn State Harrisburg.

The lecture will focus on the Mid-Atlantic region and is free and open to the public.

Vlach is the author of numerous books on American material culture. His book “Barns,” part of the Library of Congress Visual Sourcebooks series, won the 2003 Kniffen Prize for Best Book on North American Material Culture.
