Program to explore role of music therapy in stress relief on April 5

The Doctors Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine will present "The Marriage of Music Therapy and Neurobiology of Trauma Stress Research" from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, in room C2860.

This presentation will feature Gene Ann Behrens, professor of music and director of the Music Therapy Program at Elizabethtown College. Behrens’ travels include Bethlehem in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, where she conducted a music therapy program for children traumatized by the ongoing conflict.

The presentation, which will include photos from Behrens' trip to Bethlehem, is open to the public.
