Orientation programs help students, families learn more about campus

Penn State York’s New Student Orientation on Friday, Aug. 24, included 275 students who spent the day getting to know the campus and the University. The day included sessions about a variety of services on campus and time with “pride groups” to make friends.

For the first time, a separate program for parents and families members was offered and 100 attended to learn more about Penn State, get familiar with the campus, and learn ways to support their students. Both programs were designed by the student affairs office at the campus.
