Two Penn State Greater Allegheny students will dance in the University’s annual dance marathon, THON, from Feb. 15 to 17, at the Bryce Jordan Center at University Park. The dancers will attempt to stay on their feet for 46 hours.

Dancers are Julia Qualiotto, a junior business management major, and Andrew Pricener, a sophomore business management major.

The campus is also holding a late-night THON bowling event. The community is invited to attend the event, which will be held at North Versailles Bowl from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Feb. 9. Cost is $20 per person.

THON began in 1973, when dancers raised just more than $2,000. Today, it is the largest student-run philanthropy effort in the nation. The event has raised more than $89 million for The Four Diamonds Fund, which supports childhood cancer research.
