Godwin declares for NFL draft
Wide receiver Chris Godwin will forgo his final year of eligibility with Penn State to enter the NFL Draft. The two-time All-Big Ten selection ranks in the top-four in program history in receiving yards (2,404) and receiving touchdowns (18).

Penn State's Sickels declares for NFL draft
Defensive end Garrett Sickels will forgo his final year of eligibility with Penn State to enter the NFL Draft. The 2016 All-Big Ten second team selection started 24 games over the last two seasons.

Men's hockey opens 2017 with program-best No. 2 ranking
Despite being idle since Dec. 2, the Penn State men's ice hockey team has achieved another program best as they open the new year ranked No. 2 in both the uscho.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine national polls.

Penn State selected as EIVA preseason No. 2
The Penn State men's volleyball team, 18-time defending Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) champions, were selected as the preseason No. 2 as voted by the league's eight head coaches Monday afternoon.

Women's tennis player Devan McCluskey earns ITA ranking
Penn State Nittany Lion women's tennis player Devan McCluskey has earned a national ranking form the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. McCluskey is ranked No. 107 in singles in the ITA's initial spring release.

Penn State Brandywine introduces Sarah Kurpel as director of athletics
Penn State Brandywine named Sarah Kurpel as its director of athletics on Jan. 3. Kurpel, who will oversee the campus' 13 varsity sports as well as its club sport and intramural programs, is the sixth full-time director of athletics in Brandywine's 48-year history of varsity athletics.
