Penn State Erie's spring commencement included the largest graduating class in college history, with 487 graduates eligible to take part in the celebration. The class of 2005 received 465 bachelor's degrees, 15 associate's degrees and 29 master's degrees. The total number of graduates for this academic year, including those who graduated in fall 2004, is 698.
Dawn Blasko, associate professor of psychology and Penn State Erie's commencement speaker, gets some last minute encouragement from her husband, Michael Drabik. Blasko served as secretary of the Faculty Senate during the past academic year.
A sea of graduates and parents flowed from the Junker Center following Erie's two-hour commencement ceremony.
