Tim Stefanoski initiated the Penn State Society of Engineering Science teams Rube Goldberg machine with the simple roll of a golf ball. The annual competition, held at Penn State's Nittany Lion Inn on Feb. 11, provided four teams of Penn State students the opportunity to present an elaborate machine designed to do a simple task (inflate a balloon). The machines are modeled after the creations of cartoonist Rube Goldberg. Stefanoski and his teams carnival themed contraption was awarded second prize in the 2012 Penn State competition.
