MONACA, Pa. — Penn State Beaver has hired April Martin as a campus police officer. She joined the department on Jan. 4.

Martin spent the past seven years on Pittsburgh-area campuses, working as an officer at Point Park and Carlow universities. She previously worked for the Ambridge Police Department and works part-time for the Hanover Township Police Department.

Martin attended the Community College of Beaver County and the Beaver County Police Academy. She has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Point Park.

Martin’s father and grandfather also worked as university police officers. Both retired from the University of Pittsburgh.
