April 07, 2015

Brett D. Warren, assistant director, Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, will visit Dickinson Law Tuesday, April 14 to discuss forming and representing business entities (and avoiding malpractice liability) in Pennsylvania.

Failure to comply with securities law requirements is one of the most common grounds for professional disciplinary action and malpractice claims against attorneys. Hear a senior official from the PA Department of Banking and Securities explain Pennsylvania law in this important area.  Learn more about career opportunities in corporate and securities law. This program will be particularly helpful for students who expect to practice in a “general practice” law office and represent entrepreneurs and small businesses.

This program is presented by Dickinson Law's Office of Student Services and the Center for Government Law and Public Policy Studies. Moderated by Professor Lance Cole, the event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room 114, Lewis Katz Hall, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Pizza will be served.
