Rachel Jenks, of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, is the first-place winner in the sixth annual Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) play competition. Jenks received first place honors and a cash prize for her play, “Trailer Trash.”

Second place went to Shea Passno, Manchester, Pennsylvania, for his play, “On the Line,” and third place went to Taylor Montena, Kinnelon, New Jersey, for her work, “Trifecta.”  Both second and third place winners received a cash prize.

All three plays will be performed by theatre students on April 29 and 30 on the main stage of The Pullo Center.  Admission to the performances is free.

The play contest is an annual competition for Penn State York students, designed to encourage the creation and development of new plays on campus.

The competition was open to Penn State York students enrolled for fall 2014.  Original plays of 10-30 minutes were accepted. The contest is also sponsored by the Penn State York Theatre Program and The Pullo Center.
