Police investigate report of harassment at Pattee Library

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State University Police are investigating a reported incident of harassment at Pattee Library. Between 3:50 and 4 p.m. Sept. 19, an unknown male harassed the victim by rubbing his bare foot on the victim while seated at an adjoining study table. The suspect is described as a white male, standing 5-feet, 7-inches; weighing 200 pounds. He's in his late 30s or early 40s with brown, medium-length hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt and white athletic shoes.

Anyone with information should contact Penn State University Police at 814-863-1111 or Centre County Crime Stoppers at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org. Those who provide information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of as much as $1,000 from Centre County CrimeStoppers.

University Police would also like to remind the community to:

-- Report suspicious persons or behavior to University Police immediately

-- Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help

-- Understand it is not okay to touch another person without their consent

-- Respect others boundaries and personal space
