Rock Ethics Institute to host 'Dallas Buyers Club' screening, talk Feb. 6

Michael Burroughs, assistant director of the Rock Ethics Institute, will host a special screening and discussion of the 2013 movie "Dallas Buyers Club."

The movie is a true story about Ron Woodroof, an electrician and rodeo cowboy in Texas whose devil-may-care lifestyle leads to an unexpected diagnosis of being HIV positive in the early 1980s. Starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner, the movie is about Woodroof's fight for dignity, education and acceptance after his diagnosis.

The movie showing and discussion will take place Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the HUB Freeman Auditorium. This event is free with a Penn State ID.
