Children with asthma needed for study

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Dr. Adam Spanier is researching different approaches to asthma management. Children with asthma may volunteer for this research study.

To be eligible to participate, children must be 6 to 17 years old, with doctor-diagnosed asthma, have at least one asthma exacerbation in the last year and have no other lung diseases.

If selected to participate, volunteers will visit Penn State Hershey Medical Center twice, have lung function testing, provide a saliva sample and have allergen skin testing.

Compensation is provided.

This research study, IRB 38403, has been approved by the Institutional Review Board, under federal regulations at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine.
