Beaver campus student-athletes named USCAA All-Americans

As the Penn State Beaver varsity baseball and softball post-seasons closed, five student-athletes were named USCAA All-Americans.

In baseball, senior Markus Allen, of New Castle, was named First Team, and senior Alex Filippi, of Aliquippa, received Honorable Mention. This year marked Allen’s third time to be honored and the first for Filippi.

On the women's softball team, senior Korey Freyermuth, of Pittsburgh, was named First Team, her third consecutive year to be honored by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. Juniors Nicole Bowersox, of Penns Valley, received Honorable Mention for the first time, and Lauren Pier, of New Brighton, received Honorable Mention for the second consecutive year.
