Folk Singer Garnet Rogers to Perform Sept. 17

Singer/songwriter Garnet Rogers--hailed by critics as one of the most influential acts in North American folk music--will give a free public performance Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Penn State DuBois. The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Hiller Building Auditorium. Rogers has been the featured performer on numerous television and radio programs, including Much Music, The Country Beat, Listen Up, Gabereau, Morningside, Mountain Stage and All Things Considered. He has been a headliner at concert venues and festivals, such as Wolf Trap, Lincoln Center and Art Park, sharing the stage with performers Mary Chapin Carpenter, Billy Bragg, Bill Monroe, Ferron and Guy Clark.
