The Center for the Performing Arts announces 2003-04 season

April 29, 2003

The local debut of "Miss Saigon," a concert by London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, two performances of Shakespeare's "Othello," the return of the Louisville Ballet in "The Nutcracker," and a recital by soprano Dawn Upshaw highlight the Center for the Performing Arts' 2003-04 season on Penn State's University Park campus. Series subscriptions -- each featuring a 10 percent discount compared to individual performance prices -- go on sale in May. The season opens this October with a performance of "The Music Man" and closes in April 2004 with "The Sound of Music." In between, 27 other performances of musical theatre, jazz, dance, opera, orchestral and chamber music, drama, and children's theatre will be offered.
