Brodhead Cultural Center opens 27th season with free concert

May 13, 2003

A free performance by the Sewickley Symphony on June 12 will open the 27th programming season at the Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center's J. P. Giusti Amphitheater. Most shows held this summer will begin at 7 p.m., rather than 8 p.m. as in past years. A variety of musical and theatrical productions for children and adults will be presented through August 21. Except for the musical play, "Children of Eden," all shows are free to the public. Tickets are required for "Children of Eden," presented by the Center Theatre Players and directed by Sandy Reigel. For more information about the Brodhead Cultural Center, to obtain a free schedule of summer events including locations and times, or to obtain tickets for the musical, contact the Office of University Relations and Brodhead Cultural Center at (724) 773-3817 or
