Campus exceeds United Way goal

Faculty, staff, and students at Penn State Behrend raised $51,333 for the United Way of Erie County during the month of October, exceeding this year's $50,000 goal and gaining an increase of 8.9 percent over last year's total. "I take great pride in the Behrend community's response to this year's United Way campaign," said Jack Burke, campus executive officer and dean. "Our volunteers and leaders worked hard to meet the goal, and this year the students really stepped up their fundraising efforts. This tremendous response reflects the increasing commitment of faculty, staff, and students to those in need in the Erie community."
