College aiding effort to improve Harrisburg City School District

Penn State Harrisburg's School of Behavioral Sciences and Education is partnering with three higher education institutions in the region to strengthen the Harrisburg City School District's initiative to improve the quality of instruction in its schools. Funded through a $900,000 three-year federal enhancement grant, Penn State Harrisburg, Messiah College, Shippensburg University, and Temple University have also committed faculty and resources to the initiative focusing on professional development for Harrisburg City teachers at the elementary and middle school levels.
