Heard on Campus: LeVar Burton at Eisenhower Auditorium

January 31, 2007

"The beauty of the relationship between human beings and written literature has always been that link, that connective tissue that is our imagination. When you have all of the images made up for you and you don't have to do any work, the tendency is to become lazy and complacent and not do any of the imaginative work. If you lose touch with the facility to imagine, the repercussions are really far-reaching in my opinion."
