The event will be held in the Convention Center of the Radisson Valley Forge Hotel in King of Prussia. The reception is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the dinner and program at 7:30 p.m. There will be a silent auction and raffle to support Penn State scholarships.

The event is sponsored by the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Penn State Nittany Lion Club.

Reservations are required and tickets are $42. Anyone interested in tickets for the event should contact Gail Lowe at or 215-295-3047 in the evening. The deadline for reservations is Monday, May 5.

Paterno is entering his 43rd season as head coach of the Nittany Lions. The Hall of Fame mentor has earned a 372-125-3 record to rank second in career wins among major college coaches. The only coach ever to win the Rose, Sugar, Orange, Cotton and Fiesta Bowls, he has led the Nittany Lions to five undefeated, untied seasons, two national championships and 23 bowl victories. Paterno has coached 74 first team All-Americans, including linebacker Dan Connor in 2007, and 36 Academic All-Americans, including junior tackle Gerald Cadogan last season.

Washington is starting her second season as head coach of the Lady Lions. During her first season, Penn State defeated nationally ranked Duke and Pittsburgh. Washington was selected the "Rising Star" for 2008 by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). She loses only one senior, guard Kam Gissendanner, for the 2008-09 squad, which will be led by All-Big Ten guard Brianne O'Rourke and guard Tyra Grant, the team's leading scorer. A trio of freshmen, each of whom earned all-state honors, will join the team in the fall.
