Proposals now being accepted for the 2009 senior class gift

July 07, 2008

University Park, Pa. -- Penn State’s senior class gift committee is now accepting proposals for the 2009 class gift. “The class gift tradition is one of the greatest ways Penn State seniors can give back to their school. The power is in the students’ hands to decide how you want to change Penn State for the better,” said committee chair and senior Elizabeth Kernion. All proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by a volunteer ballot selections committee consisting of students, faculty and staff. This group will then establish a ballot listing three potential gifts for consideration. In November, students with senior standing will be asked to vote for their choice. Anyone in the University community is eligible to submit a proposal for the senior class gift. The deadline for submission is Sept. 26. To submit a proposal, visit and follow proposal instructions. For more information, contact Jordan Ford, senior class gift adviser at (814) 863-3935.
