Novelist Hamilton to read from work at University Park

Acclaimed novelist Jane Hamilton will read for the Mary E. Rolling Reading Series at University Park campus at 7:30 on Thursday, April 30 in the Assembly Room of the Nittany Lion Inn. The reading is free and open to the public. 

Hamilton is the author of five novels, including "The Book of Ruth," winner of the 1988 PEN/Ernest Hemingway Foundation’s award for best novel and a selection for Oprah Winfrey’s Book of the Month club, and "A Map of The World," also selected by Oprah as a Book of the Month. Her short stories have appeared in Harper’s Magazine as well as the Best American Short Stories series. Hamilton currently resides in Rochester, Wisconsin, the state in which all of her novels are at least partly set.
