Campus hires new director of development

Penn State Lehigh Valley announced today the hiring of S. Andrew Baumbach as director of development. In this position, Baumbach will be responsible for overseeing and managing all fundraising efforts for the campus, as well as working in conjunction with the campus' Office of Alumni Relations on alumni activities and special events.

Baumbach has spent his entire career in higher education including positions in development at Alvernia University (formerly Alvernia College), The College of New Jersey, Villanova University, and Syracuse University. He began his career as sports information director at Adelphi University.
"In this new position, I hope to continue to build and sustain a record of philanthropy for Penn State Lehigh Valley, and I look forward to the exciting opportunities that the new facility in Center Valley will bring to the campus and community," said Baumbach.
Baumbach received a bachelor of science in public relations from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a master of education from Temple University.
