Approximately 50 new and newly tenured faculty members from 13 Penn State campuses traveled with President Graham Spanier and three members of the University's Board of Trustees on the 14th annual Road Scholars Tour.

Participants on the three-day bus tour visited western Pennsylvania sites, including three Penn State campuses and one University research facility, two major international manufacturers headquartered in the greater Pittsburgh area and three historic sites in the region. Along the way, members of Penn State Cooperative Extension gave presentations about their outreach efforts in Pennsylvania regarding green energy, environmental conservation and agribusiness initiatives.
